Web Exploring

I spend what some might call more than a significant amount of time online. Still, I can be a bit behind. Recently I have discovered the joys of Twitter and Second Life.

Twitter

I joined Twitter a while back, but didn’t really get into it until the last week or so. It’s really a lot of fun and you can waste a huge amount of time there, or not. That’s kind of the beauty of it. The posts can only be very short, which honestly put me off at first, but you can get sucked in. The real advantage I see with it over other social networking sites is the speed at which you can connect with new people. It takes a bit to get used to, but it’s a lot of fun. Second Life

I am still getting the hang of this one. So far I like it, but I have to admit that I am progressing very slowly. It’s a much bigger time sink than Twitter, to say the least. I have known about it for a long time, but didn’t get inspired to join until I read about all the opportunities for writers (which I actually heard about on Twitter, BTW). Second Life isn’t really an online game, it’s more of an online community with a game-like interface.
